Case Study
Founded in 2012, the Knoxville Gay Men’s Chorus, now known as the Appalachian Equality Chorus, started with a bold vision. From humble beginnings, they've grown into a leading voice for LGBTQIA+ rights in Appalachia. They've performed nationally, advocating for equality and diversity. Now, as the Appalachian Equality Chorus, they invite everyone, regardless of gender or sexuality, to join their mission. Join them as a singer, volunteer, donor, or patron, and be part of their inclusive family spreading love and acceptance across the region.
The Goal
Come up with a new and unique identity for the choir, complete with a new name and logo, that reflects their core values.
What 42nd Street did
42nd Street had the honor of working with the stakeholders of Knoxville Gay Men's Chorus on their brand refresh — including brand naming, identity design, and all the visual elements that accompanied the launch of their new name and look.
