That's why it's so important to take a step back and re-evaluate the way we produce content. Instead of trying to over sell, think about the consumer - your target audience.

Here are 3 tips for producing meaningful content:

1. Relational > Transactional

People long for human connection. When ads begin to feel like ads, we miss the mark on effectively reaching people. Think about ways to spark conversation and engagement. Figure out what your audience cares about, and talk about it!

2. Keep Things Personal

When ads are stuffed with information, they lose their personal appeal. Try adding face to your brand or personally engaging more with your audience. Hop on Instagram stories, create a brand video, or add original imagery to an ad. When it comes to local marketing, personal touch points are crucial to building a long-term relationships.

3. Relevant Messaging

It can be easy to curate a message that’s out of touch with what a potential customer is looking for. This involves digging down to the root of their problem and uncovering what they truly need. How does your product or service solve an issue in their life?
